Apostolos Bounatsos graduated from the Hellenic Armed Forces Corps Officers School with the rank of Second Lieutenant of the Hellenic Air Force and the Dental School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1991. Until 1996 he served in Air Force Units, working at the same time in his private dental clinic.
He was trained in Prosthodontics at the University of Manchester Dental School (1996-1999). He was awarded a Master of Science, from the Royal College of Edinburgh, the Membership of Restorative Dentistry (Prosthodontics) and the title of Specialist Prosthodontist in the United Kingdom. He worked as Clinical Teaching Fellow at the Prosthodontic Dept., Manchester University Dental Hospital, (1998 -1999).
He organized the Prosthodontic Department at 251 Greek Air Force and VA Hospital where he served as Assistant Director (2003-2007) and Director (2007-2011).
He is a member of the Athens Dental Society, the Royal College of Edinburgh (1999-today) and a Recognized Specialist from the European Prosthodontists Association (2011-today).
Since 2000 he maintains his private dental clinic at 77 Kifisias Avenue, Athens, Greece.

Ο Δρ. Απόστολος Μπουνάτσος αποφοίτησε από την Στρατιωτική Σχολή Αξιωματικών Σωμάτων με τον βαθμό του Ανθυποσμηναγού της Ελληνικής Αεροπορίας καθώς και από την Οδοντιατρική Σχολή του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης το 1991. Έως το 1996, υπηρετούσε στην Ελληνική Αεροπορία και ταυτόχρονα δούλευε στο ιδιωτικό του ιατρείο.
Εξειδικεύθηκε στην Προσθετική στο University of Manchester Dental School (1996-1999). Απέκτησε το Masters του από το Royal College of Edinburgh και απέκτησε τον τίτλο του Ειδικού Προσθετολόγου στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο. Εργάστηκε ως κλινικός συνεργάτης του Τμήματος Προσθετικής του Manchester University Dental Hospital, (1998 -1999).
Επιστρέφοντας, αναδιοργάνωσε το Τμήμα Προσθετικής του 251 Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αεροπορίας όπου υπηρετούσε σαν Υποδιευθυντής (2003-2007) και Διευθυντής (2007-2011).
Είναι μέλος του Οδιαντιατρικού Συλλόγου Αθηνών, του Royal College of Edinburgh (1999-today) και είναι Αναγνωρισμένο Μέλος της Ευρωπαϊκής Προσθετολογικής Εταιρείας (2011-σήμερα).
Από το 2000 διατηρεί ιδιωτικό οδοντιατρείο στην Αθήνα, Λεωφ. Κηφισίας 77.
